About Carolyn Watson Photography
Carolyn is an exceptional photographer who prides herself on "creatively capturing life's moments". She has the rare ability to capture subjects in an artistic, simplistic, and distinctive way.
Born in Southern, Maryland into a family of watermen and farmers, Carolyn experienced first hand the love and respect of nature. This love for the environment led her to a 24-year career as a marine biologist.
Carolyn's career evolved from a research biologist to the Assistant Secretary of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and one of the Governor's Chesapeake Bay Advisors. Along the way, she developed a passion for photography. She now is fully devoted to living her dream of capturing the beauty of the world around her through her lens.
Her versatile shooting ability lends itself to both studio and on-location sessions. In viewing her portfolio you will see that her subjects are as diverse as her clients. Spontaneous and captivating, her images are true works of art highlighted by nature's light.
Carolyn's Fine Art work has received rave reviews and is featured every year at the Children's Beach House Art Show. Her Fine Art work is creative and artistic and has the added dimension of her background as a marine biologist.
For Weddings and Special Occasions, Carolyn works with professional photographer and life partner Ginny Stominski. They ensure that the images captured are candid, classical, and reflect the uniqueness and joy of your celebration.
They have had the privilege of photographing entertainers, politicians, and corporate executives who are known nationally and throughout the world. Their photographs have been published in books and magazines and have also appeared on magazine covers. They are regular contributors to Delaware Beach Life Magazine.
In 2008, Carolyn and Ginny opened their own state-of-the-art studio at 720 Rehoboth Avenue in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. They are extremely excited to provide a full service portrait studio with a variety of sessions, artistic techniques, set design, home theatre style viewing area, custom framing, unique keepsakes and exceptional service to the Sussex County Area.
